Kennel Assistant – Part-Time

Camelot Animal Hospital and Boarding Kennel is looking for an energetic and dependable Kennel Assistant to join our team serving a small animal general practice and ophthalmology specialty practice.  We’re located in Davie, Florida 20 minutes west of Ft. Lauderdale.  Our property is a National Wildlife Federation “Certified Wildlife Habitat” – a beautiful and peaceful environment in which to work.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Avimark veterinary software is a plus.

Responsibilities include:

  • Walking
  • Feeding
  • Bathing
  • Cleaning ears
  • Clipping nails
  • Animal restraint
  • Administering medications
  • Kennel and hospital cleaning and sanitizing
  • Keeping parking lot and grounds litter-free

Candidates must be able to lift up to 40 lbs without assistance and must have reliable transportation.  Pre-employment background and reference checks are required.

We are committed to helping staff maintain a healthy work-life balance.  All staff share holiday and weekend work on a rotating basis.  Hospital hours are Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 8a-6p and Wed, Sat 8a-1p.

If you know how to wow clients with excellent customer service and you have superb computer skills, we are willing to train you on the skills unique to running the front desk of our veterinary hospital.  Our ideal candidate:
